Water. Visions and words – photographic exhibition

Flipping through the pages of the visual poem “Water. Visions and words” of Maurizio Sodano, we feel the physical sensation, beyond that intellectual, of a beneficial return to the vital element from which we come and to which we will all return, after our “appearance” as human beings. The words of the great French philosopher Michel Foucault come to mind, who wrote important reflections on human societies and on the relationship between men and women with natural elements and, among the pages of his monumental work, Madness in the Classical Age, defined the water as a simple and primitive liquid belongs to what in Nature is purer. Adding that, despite the changes made by the not always benevolent work of man, the return to the limpid water assumes the meaning of a purification ritual; in this transparent freshness one is reborn to one’s own innocence. In this sense, the hypnotic images of Sodano accompany us in a journey of “memory”, beyond the individual and collective existence of the human species and its “civilization”, which has often been  removed from its “natural” belonging, or has even nourished the arrogant “historical” design of dominating Nature, with disastrous results. We are reminded by the details of artistic photography which lead us to see with a renewed wonder what we now look at in an expected way. The memory of water, therefore, evoked by the images “Water. Visions and words”, it is the artistic awareness of belonging to a wider dimension of being in the world and the vital feeling that sustains it, always and forever.

The Energy of the Universe

Maurizio Sodano photographs with shots that manage to blend the flexuosity of the female body with the solemnity and plasticity of the architectural structure with extraordinary sensitivity to the quality of the light that illuminates the moods of those who stop to listen to themselves captivated by the spectacle of the dialogue between black and white.

An Art Research London

This initiative makes use of the indispensable collaboration of a resident promoter on London territory that with its presence in the British metropolis and its expertise in the field of dissemination and communication will certainly be an added value to achieving the objectives that this ambitious project aims.

Art : female body and passion

A master of writing with light proposes the female body, to make visible, beyond any common pose, a very ductile source of communication. It responds in the sense of the eloquent geometries that physical dimensions can represent. The speech perfectly fits the communicative possibilities of vitality which, without having metamorphic variations, tells, passing from the psychological to the representative of a state of mind, a universally valid sense indicator such as the language of the birds. For the artist, the art-body model, very mobile, even in a temporary stop, allows you to communicate all over the world, acquiring it self  the knowledge.

The form of light, which arouse chromatic life everywhere, are the same as the photographer uses to amplify the horizons of his writing. the body answers fully, if called, to be representative of an event in progress, in which all dimensions of the senses, reason and feeling are involved.
